The firm also participates in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants’ Quality Control Program. Both partners are peer reviewers for other CPA practices having conducted over 150 peer reviews of the quality control procedures for their accounting and auditing practice. To perform peer reviews, the partners must receive an unqualified peer review on their practice as well.

Both, Barton W. Baldwin and John R. Hodge, III have been President of the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants (NCACPA). Mr. Hodge and Mr. Baldwin have both been recipients of the Raymond Rains award for services to the profession and the NCACPA.

Both have served on the governing council of the AICPA and many committees of the AICPA and NCACPA.

Mr. Baldwin has just begun his 7^th year on the North Carolina State Board of CPA Examiners (State Board of Accountancy) and also serves on the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy Board of Directors. These positions provide him the opportunity to help regulate the profession and protect the public interest.
